6. The PMV™ is making a noise. What do I do?

The first thing you should do is clean the valve (see question 1). If you have cleaned the valve and the noise continues, it could be a sign that the valve needs to be replaced. If the PMV you have has been used for two months or more, this noise would indicate that it is time to replace the PMV. If the PMV is less than two months old and continues to make noise after it has been properly cleaned, contact Passy-Muir™ for further information.
