Course Description:
In this podcast, we spoke with Laura Brooks, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, BCS-S and discussed how she implemented research in her clinical practice. We discussed considerations for deciding what to research and how to incorporate it into daily practice. How to manage daily data collection during assessments and treatments for use in retrospective studies also was described. After completing this course, you will be able to:

1. Describe the difference between retrospective and prospective research.
2. List two ways that research could be used in daily practice.
3. Describe two methods for determining appropriate research topics.
