Industrial Engineer

Research, design, evaluate, develop and facilitate systems for managing industrial production processes. Research and design mechanical and electrical products, equipment, systems, and processes. Manage R&D projects and generate feasibility studies for the products, equipment, systems, and processes. Manage engineering documentation including, but not limited to, drawings using CAE software (SolidEdge, Solidworks, AutoCAD). Maintain documentation according to the products, equipment, and systems. Oversee and manage plastic injection molding processes and machines. Support suppliers with tooling design for injection molding molds. Design and prepare 3D models for printing and operate 3D printers. Perform secondary finish operations. Utilize ERP systems to effectively manage inventory, production, and facility needs to ensure maximum cost-effectiveness and productivity. Work with Regulatory Assurance/Quality Assurance department to draft and revise documentation including, standard operating procedures, work procedures, quality procedures, design and development plans, design inputs, design verifications, risk analysis plans, protocols, and testing reports. Assist RA/QA in monitoring and maintaining Quality Management Systems to comply with standards and regulations. Prepare systems and support the company during internal and external regulatory inspections and audits (FDA and ISO). Develop manufacturing strategies and establish the sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts and products using lean manufacturing tools. Manage manufacturing sites. Conduct staff meetings as needed. Design and develop facility layouts and workflow diagrams for the various operations of the company including. Define Key Performance Indicators to monitor production lines with the identification of areas for improvement. Develop business and financial strategies by estimating production costs, saving methods and evaluate the effect of new product design or existing product re­ design on expenditures. Support Executive Management in setting budgets for facility and infrastructure management. Develop strategies for facilities maintenance and equipment calibration, maintenance, verification, and validation. Able to troubleshoot and repair simple and complex equipment and systems. Develop supply chain strategies. Negotiate with suppliers to assure maximum quality and cost-effectiveness. Maintain business relationship with the management of key suppliers. Ensure implementation of safety rules and regulations. Handle non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions, and complaints, and assure that appropriate actions are taken as required. Will supervise eight (8) subordinates.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
