His experiences include use of the Valve both as a patient requiring a tracheostomy after a motor vehicle accident and as an RRT working with the Valve in medical facilities. Corey worked at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, a <span class=\"pm_ws\">Passy Muir<\/span> Center of Excellence, in areas that served many ventilator patients using the Valve. He has co-authored multiple procedures regarding <span class=\"pmv_ws\"><span class=\"pm_ws\"><span class=\"pm_ws\">Passy Muir<\/span><\/span> Valve<\/span> assessment and application with patients on mechanical ventilation. He also has served as the Clinical Educator for multidisciplinary staff at both the Bryan Health in Lincoln, Nebraska and at The Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO. He was active with the Nebraska Society for Respiratory Care and serves as a delegate for the Colorado Respiratory Care Society. She now offers comprehensive training, in-service programs, and clinical support for healthcare professionals. Gabriela is an invited speaker for educational institutions, state and national conferences, and the Better Breather\u2019s Club and ALS support groups. She also contributes to the field by authoring clinical articles and white papers, including peer-reviewed, on topics such as ALS progression, neonatal tracheostomy, speaking valves, and respiratory care strategies.
