Overview

Imagine restoring a patient’s voice and improving their quality of life — even while they are on a ventilator. In this interactive, hands-on seminar, you’ll progress from foundational knowledge of tracheostomy and airway management to advanced assessment, placement, and troubleshooting of no-leak speaking valves. Through lectures, demonstrations, case studies, and mock assessments, you’ll learn to confidently assess, implement, and optimize Valve use for patients both with and without mechanical ventilation. By the end, you’ll be equipped with the clinical skills and strategies to enhance communication, airway safety, and patient outcomes in your practice.

Bonus education opportunity: Registered seminar attendees will be granted access to a pre-recorded webinar, Fundamentals: Tracheostomy Tubes to Mechanical Ventilation. This webinar is only available to seminar attendees and provides an overview of the basics of a tracheostomy tube, cuff management with inflation and deflation, and basic vent terminology. It is highly recommended that attendees view the webinar prior to the in-person seminar. To receive continuing education for the webinar, attendees complete the course, quiz, and evaluation, in addition to the seminar evaluation.
